We are looking for a talented Director, Sales Strategy to join the team. The ideal candidate will earn trust through performance and relationship building, think strategically, act tactically, write effectively, and display strong analytical capabilities coupled with financial acumen and critical thinking skills. This person will develop a deep understanding of the Fender product portfolio, the structure of Fender sales organization, existing sales process, and our sales rules of engagement. Along with the direct support of an Operations Manager, the Strategy team will work cross-functionally with finance, sales, marketing, and human resource teams to drive the performance of the sales organization.
About The Job:

  • Lead the annual three-year strategic planning process for the sales organization
  • Responsible for spearheading strategic initiatives in the sales organization in collaboration with sales and finance leadership
  • Develop and evaluate sales channel strategy including distributor, direct to retail and direct to consumer models in EMEA and the Americas
  • Develop and evaluate pricing and promotion strategies across multiple regions including new product introductions as well as excess and end of life product.
  • Partner with Sales Operations in determining the optimal allocation of product across multiple customers, channels, and geographies
  • Deliver key metrics which measure and drive sales performance
  • Partner with Human Resources and Sales Operations to evaluate and evolve sales compensation to deliver a best-in-class program which is effective, competitive, and incentivizes the Sales Team to execute upon the sales strategy and achieve annual goals

What You need:

  • At least 8 years of sales operations experience, or equivalent work in an analytical business partnership role
  • Deep experience in a dynamic and results driven environment
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Strategic planning experience
  • A track record of partnering with leadership teams to set strategy and drive change initiatives
  • A proven track record of helping sales teams hit and exceed goals
  • MBA Preferred
